This is a good idea. I think I need to make something similar to put all my kids stuff in! They have so many shoes and sports equipment that I dont know what to do with it! Currently we have a five tier shoe rack, which barely holds all their shoes. This would be the perfect solution!

Just made this! It turned out so cute! I used a nine cubby storage unit and followed the same directions. I also spray painted it to transform it even more.
