Uses for Essential Oils

The benefits of essential oils are many and wide in variety. They are, well, essential. Here is a list of uses for common essential oils.

1. Use lemon and tea tree oil with warm water for an all-purpose cleaner.
2. Lemongrass, citronella, eucalyptus, and coconut oils can be mixed for homemade bug spray.
3. The anti-microbial properties of diffused cinnamon oil will help clean the air you breathe.
4. Add drops of your favorite scent to your clothes in the washing machine for a pleasing wardrobe aroma.
5. Mix tea tree oil and borax for an easy carpet cleaning powder.
6. For home Christmas scents, add pine, sandalwood, or cedarwood oil to fire logs 30 minutes before burning.
7. Scrub the bathtub with a mixture of baking soda, vinegar, and drops of bergamot or lime oil for an easy and thorough clean.
8. Naturally whiten your teeth by rubbing a mixture of lemon oil, coconut oil, and strawberries on your teeth. Rinse after two minutes.

Tried this craft? What did you think?

This oil organizer can be used to organize your nail polish. One way to keep your different-colored nail polish altogether is to make this DIY oil organizer. It's very useful for you small stuff that has a round shape under. If your not fond of oils and nail polish, maybe you can place you small lotion bottle here. That would be a nice idea!

This is super helpful. the moment you buy essential oils you start to wonder why they package them in such tiny bottles.i am a beginner diy project kind of person but i need these bottles organised so i am definitely taking up this challenge and making this organiser.

I have just recently learned all about essential oils; I am totally hooked. I will definitely be needing this to organize all the essential oil bottles I am about to accumulate!

I need to make this for my growing collection of essential oils! I lose them so easily.

This would also be a really good nail polish organizer!

I need this in my life for all of my oils! I guess I better take up woodworking.
