I have never heard of using vingar to stain new wood but it sounds good when you want that aged wood effect but do not want to risk using wood that may have termites or not strong fro aging itself. This blogger gives some great pointers that she figuredout when doing it herself and how different vinegars give it a different look and this is great to know when wanting a certain look.
