What! Paint a sofa. I love this idea. Great way to give an old sofa a brand new look for less money. You can choose any color you like. You can even paint a chair or ottoman. Super idea too. I love these DIY'S.

How much paint was needed? I have two love seats I want to paint. They both have dark stripes so I suspect two or three coats will be needed. Did you spray sections with water before applying the second coat?

I wouldn't have thought to paint a couch, either. This project looks good though! Nice and new.

I was nervous that the paint would crack as soon as you sat down, but after reading through the blog post, it looks like the paint holds up quite well!

Has anyone tried this? It for sure LOOKS great. I just wonder if the couch is uncomfortable and scratchy afterwards.
