I used to have a comfy hammock which I loved, but getting older, this suits me better these days! I love the fact that it looks like a regular sofa as far as size goes. But is simple enough to,use outside where you can take the cushion inside if weather threatens. Sealing the wood keeps it in prime shape for years to come! I have sewn pillows and could see adding some as shown, using outdoors fabric in bright summery colors! Great project, thanks, for sharing!

What a cute idea! Outdoor furniture can be wildly expensive and I'm really interested in learning to make some of my own. Rather than attempting to build my own swing bed, this seems a lot more approachable. Often times people have random chairs outdoors or hammocks to lounge in - so I love the idea of having a really comfy outdoor space!
