So you've finished making your dinner, your guests are arriving and you just lit your outdoor luminaries because when the sun goes down it's going to be magical but you don't know how you'll keep the mosquitoes away. Well don't let the mosquitoes ruin your evening, make a couple of these and enjoy a mosquito free evening. Best thing is once you learn how easy it is, you'll never buy bug spray again.

I love to sit outside in the morning before starting my day and drink a glass of tea but it becomes impossible when you keep getting bit by mosquitos so this will be a good way to keep them away without burning the citronilla oil which is very strong. I will have to give the candles a try. So simple and easy to make and will make a great gift when going to an outdoor party.

Yess this is such a great call - better than bug spray!

These are perfect for this time of year! Much better than reeking of bug spray, and they protect your pets too!

I can't stand wearing bug spray, so I'm usually driven inside by mosquitos. I'll have to try out these citronella candles!

What a neat project! I like that this is something that doesn't require advanced skills. I will have to keep these candles in mind, especially as summer is almost here.

I found a project for tin can lanterns earlier today. They should be used on warm days, on our terrace, where mosquitoes will be joining us all the time. Since it is really not important what produces the light, I will try to combine both fill some of them with the citronella candles. And because you used only safe ingredients, I will involve my 9 year old son in this project as well. If it will really keep the annoying bugs away, our family will be more than grateful that you shared this idea!

As the summer season approaches, I definitely want to learn how to make citronella candles and keep the mosquitoes away! Can't wait to try out this tutorial!

Warmer weather is coming, and the mosquitos will come with it! I should probably just commit this one to memory. )
