Well I dont have witch hazel or peppermint essential oil in my house, not every house has the ingredients as some suggested. Not all of us can easily get somewhere to get it either. I do like the idea of this though. I see commenters have confirmed it works for them. That is a big incentive for me. We have an ant problem and have tried pretty much everything we can find. We even tried cornmeal because we were told it expands in their gut, killing them. The only thing that works for us so far are Raid ant spikes. I would love to try this natural approach instead.

I like this super easy spray idea, and I also like that it has ingredients many people already have at home.

It seems that after all the rain we have had, I have a ant infestation in my home and garden. This when I decided to put 'Google' to work for a natural ant remedy. I tried the Borax and powdered sugar bait method. Having two grandchildren at home I did not welcome the idea of all the bait traps around my home. Then I came across the Ant Spray method. Having no harmful chemicals I immediately loved the fact that it had a peppermint smell to the spray. It is quick and easy to mix all the ingredients together, which by the way every household has. Not only is it bye bye ants but other bugs and mice hate the spell of peppermint. If you don't like the smell of peppermint you can use Cinnamon essential oil instead. This works just as well and also has a pleasing sent.

I really like the thought of keeping the ants, spiders and insects away with this easy tutorial using witch hazel, peppermint essential oil and water. I love that it is all natural and will not harm my pet or grandkids or anyone. I love the smell of peppermint. Now if it would only get rid of snakes we would be in awe. I have ants all over one of my plants outsidethen big ants red and black. Do you have anything to kill them without killing my plants?
