Those inexpensive solar landscape lights are a great addition to any landscape feature or garden, but the flimsy plastic spikes they come with break off if you even look at them the wrong way! The solution is easier than you'd think. All you need is some cedar, a drill and some stain, and you'll have these beautiful DIY cedar cube landscape lights! No more flimsy spikes, and these lights are easily movable. They're the perfect solution!"

What a practical idea and a great solution to a very frustrating problem. This spikes don't always hold up but even if they do, these pretty cedar cubes actually provide you for a way to,position your landscape light at a desired height that otherwise you just have the one option. Make your cedar block short or tall to cast the best and safest light for the area needing illumination. I could see these being incorporated into a deck stair railing for added safety! great idea!
