"So I have been looking at FINALLY putting up curtains in my office. I haven't seen any pre-made curtains in stores that I love. I stumbled across a fabric I loved then waited for a giant sale at my favorite fabric store. I tire of things quickly so I know they wont stay up forever and Id rather save the money to buy other stuff to go into the room. So I cut them in half to save money."

If you don't own a sewing machine, or hate to hand sew, then this is a great way to get around hemming the curtain panels. Since these are more for show than function, it doesn't matter how wide you make the panels. However, if you do need to pull the panels over the windows for privacy or sun fading avoidance, then you will need one and one half to two times the window width of fabric to create a drape look, otherwise it will just be a flat portion of fabric looking more like a giant shade! Another tip before applying the peel and stick is to iron down your hems on the bottom and sides for a more accurate and finished look.

This looks like a quick and easy option for people who don't like to sew. I've had material in my craft room meant for curtains for, what seems like a year or so. I'm still working on sewing straight lines so I've been putting off making them. This peel and stick hem looks like it might be a good idea for me to get the project finished. And, since my windows are much smaller than the ones shown here, I don't think it will take that long. Win win! Thanks for sharing. Definitely checking this stuff out next time I go to the craft store.
