DIY Project Instructions

  1. Pour a small amount of Hot Pink into a foam bowl.

  2. Working one side of the square block candlestick at a time, begin by wetting the unfinished wood with water using the FolkArt Ultra Dye Brush.

  3. Blot the brush then load it with Hot Pink dye. Brush the dye onto the moist wood beginning at the bottom. Brush the surface horizontally working the brush upwards toward the top of the block. NOTE: The dye will be stronger in color at the base and lighten as it reaches the top of the block. Repeat this process on the remaining sides.

  4. Continue dyeing the second block candlestick in the same manner using Lady Marmalade. Allow to dry.

  5. To seal and protect, apply a coat of FolkArt Ultra Dye Satin Varnish to all four sides and the top of the square block candlesticks. Allow to dry and completely cure before using.

Are you tired of your old candle holders but not in the budget to get some more than why not use some paint and transform them into some ombre colored ones. I love that you can combine your own colors to give you the exact combination you like. Don't have any but woud like to make these thanhave a look at the thrift stores.

I love to burn scented candles in our home. Not like I need another set of candle holders but his design is just too cute to pass up on. I love the ombre effect and I know just the color combination for the space I have in mind. If they turn out nice, I plan to make another set to gift my brother, the other candle lover in the family.

I have a few wooden candlesticks that could use a little tender loving care and this is just the project. They are just a little worn and with a little paint I can make them new again. I like the ombre technique and I just hope I can complete the project with some semblance of the original design.

This is so much fun! I will have to experiment with other colors. Nice as giveaways and souvenirs, too.

I like ombre cakes and jewelry. These are fantastic, too!

OMG! So pretty I love the ombre look so much, especially when it is a bit more muted like these.

These DIY candle holders are super cute. It would be precious to have a matching ombre painted table to match.

This is so great for redecorating your apartment in a budget-friendly way!

These are super cute! I love the hot pink and orange colors, and it would also be cool to customize for your own home's color scheme.
