Hm, I'm definitely going to have to try this. We have some hard water stains in our shower that just WILL NOT go away, no matter what I try. This sounds like it may do the trick.

HOLY COW does this stuff work!! I had such stubborn shower stains that even bleach cleaner wouldn't lift, and after letting it sit for an hour and some easy scrubbing, this stuff took them right off!! I'm so happy with this cleaner and will be making it over and over. For sure a new staple in our house.

I hate cleaning the shower, I try to find the best and quickest way to clean it all the time. So far, nothing has really did the job with out having to scrub and scrub. We have hard water and I can never seem to remove all the stains. I don't like using the harsh chemicals so my shower is never really clean. Now you post this Powerful Homemade Shower Cleaner that I just have to try. After reading all the comments I sure hope it will work on my shower like others say it does. I don't mind the smell of vinegar, so it is not a problem. Fingers crossed that this works..I'll spray it on and clean the rest of the house and go back to it.. Thank you so much for sharing this free homemade cleaner recipe.

I am like you I have much better things to do than clean the bathroom! I always leave it for the last in my circuit of cleaning projects. However, that does mean that the bathroom gets really dirty before I clean it. We bought this house from an elderly man whose wife had passed away, needless to say the house was clean but not CLEAN you know? I have a horrible time cleaning the showers and still have not gotten the soap scum off the walls and have now added our own soap scum on top! I am going to set this up so that net time the urge strikes me to clean the bathroom (LOL) I will have my secret weapon handy!

What a great cleaning idea! I would be a little worried about the smell of the vinegar, but I imagine it fades pretty quickly.
