Natural Homemade Oven Cleaner
Ovens can get dirty much faster than you'd expect; yet, we still forget to clean them. This Natural Homemade Oven Cleaner is strong enough to remove even the toughest stains from your oven. Grease and burnt food are stubborn and can be difficult to clean; but, this DIY oven cleaner can dissolve grease and burnt food in a few hours. Simply mix together the ingredients, apply the mixture to your oven, let it sit for a few hours, and then wipe it off. Your oven will be shiny and clean again; and, since this is a natural oven cleaner, it won't have any weird residual chemical smells.

This sounds great, and exactly what I need. I tried the ammonia method, and it did work, but I really didn't care for the smell. I am looking for an alternative that doesn't smell so bad. I have all of these ingredients, and I think I am going to let it sit tonight, overnight.

Baking soda is one of the ingredients I use for naturally cleaning my kitchen and bathroom. When cleaning the oven, I use baking soda and add vinegar to eliminate the odor.

When we bought our house, the previous owners had not had the oven cleaned in several years! I was working so it did not get cleaned by me either. So when I finally TRIED to clean it, not only did it come clean there was a residue left! I am going to try this as I bake often and want to TRY to keep it clean.
