Will this also remove light stains?

I wish I saw this idea earlier on before I threw away my old mattress. Does the baking soda and essential oil also get rid of stains, like wine stains?

I am going to try this DIY idea! It's amazing all the things baking soda can be used for! I like the suggestion to use lavender essential oil as lavender is commonly used for relaxing and sleeping purposes. I also like the suggestion from the previous commenter about being sure to vacuum the sides of the mattress, as well.

This is one of the best ideas I have seen in a long time. Not only is it a good idea to clean your mattress, it can be health wise idea. I vacuum my mattress every time I change the sheets. I have only used the baking soda trick one time, and it works great on cleaning the mattress. I would like to add that you should remember to vacuum the sides of the mattress as well, it can collect dust as well. Thank you so much for sharing this free DIY idea.
