Reading through his I was wondering how you used mayonnaise to remove the water stains but since that didn't work I'll focus on the iron method. It's simple and fast, and it doesn't matter how long the stains are, it just works. This is such a relief, I have an ugly ring on my counter caused when I forgot to use a coaster.

These tips are great and it is comforting to know that their can be a solution and you don't have to,panic thinking you beautiful wood finish is ruined forever unless you pay big bucks to get it professionally refinished. My biggest relief was when I applied plain old mayonnaise to a very large and very white water stain on deep mahogany. As I smeared it on, I thought I must be crazy! But it worked like a charm!
