Homemade Dryer Sheets
When you use a store-bought dryer sheet for your laundry, it is pretty much used up after one load. If you have a big family, you are doing laundry a lot and will go through them quickly. On the other hand, homemade dryer sheets can last up to 12 uses and work just as well. These DIY dryer sheets smell great and leave clothes softened, just as brand name dryer sheets, but they are much less expensive and very easy to make. With this DIY project, you will never need to buy them again.

I can't believe these last for 12 loads! Single-use dryer sheets seem so wasteful in comparison. I've got to try this idea.

I have tried so often to make great-smelling reusable dryer sheets, and so often the scent either fades too quickly or is not strong enough, so I love the idea of simply soaking washcloths in fabric softener to make homemade reusable sheets. Also, I have tried to simply store the reusable sheets in just a little bit of a homemade scented mixture and simply ring the sheets out a bit right before putting them in the dryer, that way the fresh homemade scent is there and they're still reusable.
