Adding conditioner to a homemade fabric softener recipe is actually not that bad of an idea, however the problem would be finding a conditioner that was naturally and nicely scented enough, that would also allow your clean laundry to keep that fresh scent. I've found better and easier ways to add a nice fresh scent to homemade laundry products. But that is the fun of making different recipes, after all, the challenge of getting them just right!

I love this idea! I am into making my own products as much as possible, and this one is going on my list! I love that you can use different hair conditioner fragrances. Suave is less expensive and if you watch for coupons you can buy it at a really great price! Thanks for sharing this great DIY idea.

Love making my own homemade fabric softener! Long ago I used to use the famous brand, and they changed the formula and the scent. As a cancer survivor, I have read that some fragrances can be carcinogens and so this is a good way to go for health savvy as well as being cost effective. Some of the commercial fragrances can be so overpowering, while the unscented can be expensive. This DIY recipe is even great if you just ran out of the commercial kind, and can use it in a pinch! Either way, thanks for sharing this super idea!

I love this Easy Homemade Fabric Softener recipe. I just use white vinegar, but now I can make this recipe and it will help with the winter static that we get. I never thought of using hair conditioner?? Wow I so have to make a batch of this and give it a try! I love all of her homemade ideas-so great and money saving. Thank you so much for sharing this free diy idea recipe.

I love this idea, but I use so much conditioner on my hair, I think I would get really nervous at the idea of wasting any on my clothes! Maybe if I can find a cheap enough conditioner that WON'T irritate my skin.

I love the way fabric softener helps my clothes feel; I can't wait to try this homemade version that is so affordable!

I never remember to buy fabric softener, so this is the perfect solution.
