I normally place my cup on the side table but the sofa is too far from it and I when I want to snuggle and watch my favourite shows drinking my cup of hot cocoa, I have to place it on the floor. This idea for a wooden sleeve is simply genius. It gets rid of all the awkwardness and brings convenience.

What an excellent gift idea for him. This would work for holidays, birthdays, and Father's Day. I don't know a guy that wouldn't love one of these for the couch. It keeps the cup from spilling and gives him a place to rest his hand while watching TV or the fire.

This is so clever for small spaces! I don't have room for an extra end table on one side of my sofa, so this would be an awesome substitute.

What a clever idea! Of course this particular tutorial is only of use for people who own a sofa with that particular type of arm shape. It might be a bit harder to make a sleeve for a chair with a wide, rolled arm, but then where there is a will, there is usually a way.

This is such a novel idea and easy. I would love to make one. I think some padding on the back half of it, covered in a coordinated color to the furniture would make it very comfy. Your arm wouldn't have to get a sore arm. When not in use as a cup holder you could turn it on its side in your lap and use it for a writing letters, notes, etc.
