Drain clogging happens to everyone, so even if you don't now, at some point you'll need to know how to handle it. This How to Unclog a Sink tutorial demonstrates the easiest, most affordable way to clear a clogged drain—and it doesn’t use any chemicals. Take a page from your younger-self's book and think back to those baking soda and vinegar experiments in elementary school. This is a similar concept, but instead of a clay volcano, it's your drain, and instead of the reaction coming up and out, you're forcing it down to clear the block. So simple!

I am a real fan of chemical free ways to clean especially when I have two young kids from time to time around the house! Where possible I will use chemical free but I'd yet to find something to unclog a plug hole, I will definitely be trying this out!

Believe me when i say that this craft works. it really is a no brainer and quite similar to the volcano project you do in school. it isnt messy and time consuming. Do not pick up your phone everytime your sink clogs to call your plumber when the solution lies in you kitchen pantry.

It works, it really does work. My father taught me this little trick years ago. It's great not having to dump chemicals down your drain or risk corroding the pipes. Just print it out and stick it with your recipes or on the back of a kitchen cupboard door. That way it's handy when you need it.

I will have to keep this recipe on hand until we can get a garbage disposal installed.
