Salvaged Wood and Knobs Flat Christmas Tree

"I love to make my own flat Christmas trees every Christmas as they are fun and space saving at the same time. This year I had been collecting interesting bits of architectural salvage wood out of dumpsters, such as skirting/baseboards and window moldings. I had also been keeping a bag of cabinet knobs and hooks. I cut the wood into different lengths to make a Christmas tree shape. I then added the knobs and hooks to the wood. The idea was to hand decorations from the knobs but there was no need as they look like ornaments in themselves."

I love this idea. My cat gets into my Christmas tree and plays with it, and this would be a perfect substitution to keep her from causing trouble!
