Primitive Wreath Ornament

"Primitive wreath ornaments are so easy to make. These remind me of when times were much simpler and things were so much easier. You only need a few things to make primitive wreath ornaments! All you need is fabric scraps, jute cord, and a mason jar lid ring. Here's a fun tip - cut all your fabric scraps first, turn on a Christmas movie, and put your primitive wreath ornaments together while you enjoy the movie! "

Materials List

  • Fabric Scraps
  • Jute Cord
  • Mason Jar Lid Rings

Instructions

  1. Cut 21 strips of fabric about 8-inches long and 1-inch wide. (I rip mine for the scraggly primitive look.)

  2. Fold the fabric in half and place it under the edge of the mason jar ring.

  3. Pull the fabric ends up through the loop around the ring to make a knot. Pull tight.

  4. Repeat the last step until all the fabric scraps are on the ring.

  5. Finally, tie a piece of jute cord around the ring for hanging.

NotesTo make the primitive wreath ornament look fuller, pull the fabric ends apart and "fluff" them up a little.
