Pine cones are fun to collect and kids love doing that! Make sure they are dried out as suggested, because you don't want any tiny critters joining the fun! You could also use some fragrance oil in pine rather than cinnamon if you prefer. These make such nice hostess gifts too! Thanks for sharing such a creative idea!

I love how versatile these crafts are because you can make them for yourself and for others. You can have fun with them by using different containers and ways of packaging them when you give them away. I love the ability to change it up and make it unique to the person I am giving it to. Like, once I gave my friend a cow filled with potpourri because she loved cows.

I stand with Weberme why do I not think of things such as this. I gather pine cones of all sizes and sorts constantly. Certainly a wonderful gift and a gift for the house too

This is such a great idea for the holidays. I love the idea of using a cinnamon or evergreen scent!

This looks so easy to make! I love that evergreen smell, too.

Okay I have a yard full of pine cones when they start falling in autumn and everything to make these scented pine cones but I go buy some. Why I do not ever think of something so simple as this. I love the scent of the cinnamon in the autumn and fall. With this tutorial you can make these fast and easy and make some extras because they will make wonderful and inexpensive gifts. Just put the dried pine cones in a large storage add dried oranges or cranberries and oil and let sit for a day. Then put in a clear wrap and put a large bow one it and a tag with ingredients and WOW you have a super great gift.
