Raised Garden Bed
Raised Garden Bed

"When I wanted to plant a garden, I decided to make raised garden beds. These are quick and easy to make and you can do so in about an hour for around $35 in materials. Raised beds have many benefits: Easy on your back & knees, soil heats faster for quicker growth, easy to weed & fertilize. Supplies needed and building instructions for building a 4' x 8' raised bed are include at the link. With Spring just around the corner, this is a good time to do your research and buy your materials."

Materials List

  • 6 pieces of lumber 2" x 10" each 8' long
  • One 4" x 4" post = 8'
  • 48 screws = 3"
  • Screwdriver
  • Circular saw or have wood cut at hardware store
  • Garden fabric if placing beds on grass
  • Sealant like Thompsons Water Seal
  • Paintbrush
  • Garden Soil
