Gardening is twice as fun when you have some bold bright pots to put your blooming buds in! Create these Pretty Pastel Clay Pots using vivid rich colors and stencils. Place these pots in and around your home to add some greenery and refreshing scents to your property. To create those sharp lines and crisp circles, use some tape and loose change you have in your pocket. If you can trace, then you will have no problem creating these perfect planter pots!

Materials List

  • FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Jamaican Sea, 2 oz.
  • FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Light Blue, 2 oz.
  • FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Purple Lilac, 2 oz.
  • FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Dove Gray, 2 oz.
  • FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Buttercup, 2 oz.
  • FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Skintone, 2 oz.
  • Clay pots 6”
  • Tape ¼”
  • Flat brush ½”
  • Stencil brush ¼” and ½”
  • Round brush #4
  • Liner brush #1
  • Water basin
  • Paper Towels
  • Foam plates
  • Quarter, nickel and dime
  • Pencil

Instructions:

  1. Paint insides of clay pots Skintone, Buttercup and Jamaican Sea.

  2. Tape off triangle shapes at the base of one pot and stencil in colors shown. Let dry before taping off adjacent triangles.

  3. Trace quarter, nickel and dime shapes onto second pot and paint in colors shown.

  4. Tape off vertical strips on third pot using ¼” tape for spacing. Stencil in colors shown. Project Tip: Cut stencil for circle pattern instead of tracing coins.
