You know what they say, "reduce, reuse and recycle!" Next time you finish a carton of milk, rather than throwing it away, dress it up to be a fancy bird house! DIY bird houses are a great way to add some decor to your yard. You may think these bird houses are just for your crafting pleasure, but birds love to explore new homes as they fly from yard to yard. Not only will you have a blast making this repurposed bird house, but your little yard critters will thank you.

The kids will really love this Milk Carton Birdhouse. It's very colorful, playful, and attractive. The roof gives it the country appeal.

Such a fun looking bird house and such a great way to get children interested in birds and other things that frequent gardens. I think I am going to make a few for the young children that live next door to us. Or perhaps we should invite them over and we can help them to each make their own.

This is very cute! I love looking out at the birds- I could spend hours from my living room window watching them! This would be a present little project to do with my niece and nephew, let them do one each- then would have a ball and then I get to enjoy the birds going in and out of them)

The tree bark on the roof is a super look and ties in with nature! I could see gluing on some pine cones or pine wisps to the sides for more nature, or even sea shells if you have a home near water. The wax coating on the milk carton helps to keep,it waterproof . But it is helpful to look up the appropriate opening size for various bird species, as I just was reading that different types of birds require specific openings, and with the size of the carton, you would need to be aware of proper proportions. Love this idea, so clever!

This is so adorable. Easy and fun project to do with my kids. Think we are going to try it. We like to look at the different birds that come by.

A cute and easy craft for the girls, even Miss Jellybean to make for the birds in the garden, might attract others. However, I wonder if it would stand up to rain and winds...
