DIY Aphid Repellent
From the blogger: "Getting rid of aphids in your garden doesn’t have to involve toxic chemicals when you can make your own natural DIY aphid repellent in just a couple of minutes! This is so easy but so efficient you won’t believe your eyes! If you have a really big infestation you may need to apply this spray a couple of times and even hose down your plants but typically, aphids will die after the first round of this DIY aphid repellent."

I wish I had read this a few months back. We got a serious aphid outbreak in our polytunnel this year and I couldnt get on top of it no matter how hard I tried. I made the soap and water solution but the added oil sounds like a fantastic addition, if it happens again next year I will be trying this.

I frequently use dish soap to kill infestations - also water plants that are returning to the house after a summer in the garden or on the porch with a dish soap solution to eliminate any travellers. This sounds like a good solution - no pun intended - for aphids. Going to try it for spider mite too

I have tried almost all the store bought aphid repellants, and they do the trick, but the bugs always come back after two weeks. How often would I have to use this natural aphid repellant? I love how affordable and natural this recipe is, and I would like my garden to thrive again
