Want to bring in a quick way to give your room a transformation then grab an old ottoman and reuphoster it in a vibrant fabric of your choice. If you do not have one then look at thrift stores, estate sales or yardsales or make one yourself the size you like and one you can store things in. Great tutorial to show you how to recover one. I love these great DIY ideas. You can even add some trim to the top too.

I LOVE these! I have a plain black ottoman just like these that I'm not crazy about the look of, but don't want to get rid of because it gets a lot of use. I never thought of this!

This project recovers an existing ottoman that has a removable top. Judging from the instructional photos, this ottoman could be made from scratch by going to your local hardware store and having them cut 6 custom sized squares of wood for you, or rectangles if you want a more oblong size. I have covered seat cushions using this method and it looks great! Always fun to select the fabric and for added protection you can iron on vinyl sheets to water proof the top. Super idea!
