I love pasta, it takes a very short time to cook and it's delicious. I cooked it alot when I first moved out and always got it wrong. Turns out you need to follow the instructions on every pasta pack before you cook it. This article makes it super easy to make your first pasta pot without ruining it.

I've always had problems with cooking the perfect pasta. Does the amount of water affect the pasta's texture?

This is my first time living by myself and learning to cook for myself has definitely been a struggle. This is super helpful, thanks!

My dad was a cook before I was born. He taught me how to properly make pasta. We also alwayss added a little oil at the beginning of the cooking process. I also rinse my pasta. It really help to reduce pasta from sticking together, which is good when re-warming leftover pasta.

This tutorial is very helpful! I never thought about freezing the pasta and thaw it in a boiling water. Every time I cook pasta I add a little oil and salt, but I never knew that you should stir continuously so the pasta won't clump together. Now, I can cook my pasta perfectly!

Excellent tutorial for learning how to cook pasta. I too add a little oil or even butter to the water. Also, rinsing the cooked pasta with hot water will help separate any pasta which wants to stick together.

This is a good tutorial. I liked the tips on how to freeze pasta in a plastic bag and how to reheat it. I was taught to add a few drops of oil to the water before the pasta was added which would help stop the pasta from sticking together. I do like to rinse off the pasta even if I am going to eat it right away. I think it gives it a more clean taste. Maybe less starchy taste?
