"These lovely placemats were made by upcycling some old cork placemats. However, you can easily just use cork tiles if you don't have any placemats that need repurposing. I collect tourist maps of all the cities we visit on vacation. I decoupaged the maps of my favorite cities onto the placemats. Not only do these upcycled placemats look fantastic on the dinner table but they also spark conversation as the family reminisces about past special vacations. If you don't have maps don't worry it's easy to download some."

This is really cute idea. I love the concept of using maps from the places you've visited as decor, to help preserve the memory.

What a good idea! We have some maps left over from our vacation to Europe last year. This would be a great use for them.
