Spray the oven cleaner on certain areas of the mirror to create transparency in only five minutes! This wonderful DIY vintage decorating idea allows you to make an interior design piece that looks like it is from the 1920s, or really any era you want!

I have seen so many vintage decor hacks and this so far is the best in terms of ease and cost effectiveness. I was surprised when she started spraying the back of the mirror but now I know why. As a kid I would always try to scratch out the back to see if there was anything hidden in there and it would ruin a perfect mirror. This vintage mirror project is s must try for me.

Such a great hack! I love distressed mirrors, but antiques can be so expensive. Much easier to buy new and cheap and add the vintage look this way!

Always wandered how to distress a mirror and now I know OVEN CLEANER. Who would have known something most of us have around the house would do this. And if you do not you can get it from most dollar stores. I love these mirrors because they look like they come from the 1800's. Old vintage look. I have one in my bathroom that I found somewhere I do not remember and I have been wanting another. Now all I need is to find one at thrift store or piece of glass and make my own frame. Simple tutorial.

Love distressed stuff. This seems like a really fun project. I can't wait to try it!
