We have this huge bare wall in our living room. Instead of hanging a vintage painting, we put up a printed carpet-like fabric. We do these in every room at home.

There was a big blank wall behind the head of my bed and I just didn't want to put shelves up. So I found a mural of a country side that you can peel and stick to the wall. After I had it up, I bought a curtain rod, put up some sheer drapes with a swag in the center and long panels on each end. It is a fake window but everyone who sees it thinks it's a real window.

I absolutely love this idea, especially when painting walls is not an option, or to use as a bed headboard look, or even a faux window! Glam it up,even more with some twinkle lights behind the fabric if you use something a bit sheer and even sparkley! I have added a rhinestone trim fabric strip to the bottom hem of a similar project and it really was pretty! I love this look for a bedroom, but with heavier satin, it could be a striking in the living room, or with a fruit or flower pattern, might be cute on a breakfast nook wall! Thanks for a great idea!

A lovely idea, especially for a little girl's room!
