Canning has recently become a new hobby that's done year-round compared to winter seasonality of what it used to be. The quality of ingredients you use for canning has a direct effect on the outcome of the finished product. This book is perfect for guiding you with the recipes you need.

The beginning of the book goes through canning equipment and techniques all the way through processing canning jars. The book then goes into recipes for jams, jellies, syrup, marmalade, pickles, relishes, and tomato basil sauce (mmmmm). There's even a recipe and technique for canning vegetable soup, which is perfect for any time of year. The Wine Jelly on page 33 is a delicious treat for adults. Each canning recipe also states how long you can store it for, which is always a good thing to know when it comes to food.

If you want to try something new or you're looking for some different recipes to try then this book is the perfect place to start. You'll easily become a canning jar expert.

I have found a new appreciation for canning and food preservation and i love it. Initially i was looking for a way to preserve my tomatoes and stop buying canned sauces for spaghetti and pizza dishes but now i can almost everything from lemons to mangoes and pickles.
