For a moment there I thought those jars we're floating. This idea is pretty neat. I love displaying my spices and pickles from a rack but the space wasn't quite enough. Thanks for the idea

We actually did this in a workshop to help sort screws, nails and bolts and other workshop items which really kept the mess down and prevented the loss of lids. A great idea is to put a letter or number or label on the underside of the cap that shows and the same letter or symbol, etc on the jar itself so if you have several jars in use you can easily match up lid to jar and keep it always in the same place, even if your jars are the same. But you may need different sizes to accommodate items stored. For kitchen food items, make sure you can clean the kids easily from time to time to keep germs at bay! Super idea!

This is the perfect idea for my kitchen. I have been trying to do some Spring cleaning before spring actually gets here, so this went into my to do list. I finished this yesterday. They only took about 2 hours. I have a very small kitchen with limited space, so this was perfect! Thank you for the great idea!

Quick, easy and very practical - my favorite kind of project! I knew I would find something to do with those jars I had kept. It took me just a couple of hours to do the entire thing (including finding where on earth the husband had put the drill!) and no particular skill was needed. If you can use a screwdriver and a drill you can do this yourself. I am already loving my pantry more lol

Ive seen this idea in tool sheds, with all the nails, washers, bolts etc in jars attached to a shelf above. Clever thinking to transform it into a spice rack. My only concern would be that the jars might not be air tight any more and perhaps the spices in those jars would deteriorate faster than normal? Otherwise its an awesome way of storing spices as Ive never been a fan of those fiddly little spice cabinets.
