Polishing your Silver Easily

From the blogger: "Polishing requires silver polish, the rag, water, and a toothbrush. Not to mention lots and lots of time! Working on that would take many days to finish, but this will make it easier. Note: If you use a casserole dish it takes a little bit longer as you will have to do several loads. Try using a 4qt pot with aluminum foil balled up and kept hot by heating on the stove. This method allows you to do quite a few pieces at a time."

This aluminum foil, baking powder and salt method really works! And it is nice not to have to use harsh chemicals and lots of time scrubbing away. We have used this method for an old silver set we bought at a garage sale at a bargain price, and the pieces were pretty rough looking. After the first batch, we realized we had a beautiful set, even though it was an off name brand. The set was from the 1930's so it was pretty impressive when they emerged looking great! Give it a try!
