I think it's great if you have the light fixture like this geometric one, then you don't need to make one from scratch. The way I see it, this project saves you alot, cause these glass terrariums are expensive. I'm gonna start looking around hardware stores and lamp stores for this type of fixture then turn it into a terrarium using this tutorial.

This is such a unique idea. I feel like I see these terrariums with succulents everywhere but I never really pay attention to how they're styled. I love the boho vibe!

Wow, this is so cool. I love that people think of unique ways to use things we could just be throwing away or donating. Upcycling is the best! I think this looks so classy and like something you would pay a lot for. Makes me take a look at what else I have at home that could become a terrarium...

Very inspiring idea. I have seen all kinds of these type lights at garage sales and bargain shops. I think I may have to make a trip back to one of them. If you are afraid you can't keep plants alive, try silk plants and get a tiny ceramic turtle to put in it to give it a real look.

What a unique project! I love the innovation. I never would have thought to use that light fixture.

I never would have thought of up cycling a light fixture like this! How clever and useful! I could see adding some little sequins, or even gluing tiny seashells to,the outside for so,e extra fun! This could be a great little project with the kids in building their own little terrarium! Check, out the estate sales and garage sales for these fixtures and turn it into your own creation! Super idea, thanks for sharing !

Oh! I am always seeing these kinds of light fixtures at thrift stores and flea markets. And these terrariums look just like those delicate glass (expensive) terrariums I'm seeing on all the popular blogs. I have a ton of succulents (may be a little obsessed) that would look nice in these. Definitely adding this to my summer gardening agenda!
