From the blogger: "Roses are so pretty and elegant and smell fabulous! A great addition to my home decor but also a nice, thoughtful gift. And colored roses are even prettier! Make your own with this super simple tutorial on how to dye roses, in the comfort of your home! All you need is a a handful of household items and some free time. Use this for other flowers too but keep in mind that woody stems, like roses, take longer to absorb and uptake the dye than green-stemmed flowers."

What an interesting idea for your home decor! This is such an interesting way to get flowers that perfectly match your home decor!

Great instructions and video. I have colored carnations a single color in the past, but never knew you could cut the stem into three sections to get a rainbow rose! I am assuming that the Rose would really need to be very fresh, especially given the time frame formitmtomabsorb the color over hours or even days, but what a stunning result! Would be neat to use special colors of a school for prom, or a festival where this rainbow look would be so festive. Thanks for sharing !

Who among us does not love roses? They must be The Most Beautiful flowers on all the planets and this tutorial on how to dye them open up an entire new view on this stunning bloom. I tried this today on some of the late roses still blooming in our garden and, besides being such fun to do, they are so beautiful. Sadly my PC will simply not upload pics so I am not able to show you but do give it a try. It is very enjoyable and the results are really lovely!
