These serving trays are so beautiful, you would expect to find them at a department store. For a thrifty, easy home decor craft, try making these Elegant DIY Serving Trays. With the help of some paint and Mod Podge, you can completely transform older, plain trays. Why buy expensive trays from the store when you can decorate trays yourself? The more creative you get with the design, the better. Although the end result looks very professional, this mod podge project is incredibly easy. You will be proud to show off these gorgeous serving trays!

These are super cute! They could be a very budget-friendly wedding present or housewarming gift!

These trays are very nice. I would make a few changes, though, if they were to be used as serving trays. After Mod Podging the designs to the bottom of the painted tray, instead of using regular Mod Podge over the top of the surface I would use Mod Podge Hard Coat (or Dishwasher Safe) so that it could be wiped clean and be resistant to liquids (like sweating glasses or drips). I don't have Mod Melts so I'd put something else along the edges, again something that could be wiped clean.

What a great idea! I always admired those beautiful vintage trays, but they are either in rout shape or way too expensive! With this idea, I can get the look and colors I want for a fraction of the cost. And thanks for posting about all 20 of the Mod Podge formulations! I knew they had a few, but not 20! I love that stuff! I bet some pretty brocade cord or fabric trim would look pretty too, depending on the intended use for the tray. I tend to be practical and use the trays, so it it good to know they can be finished with the decoupage to help them be more useful! Thanks for the great project!
