These coiled rope baskets are the ultimate thrifty storage options. One thing I love about this tutorial is the two types, one is plain rope and the other fabric-wrapped. Both is these are amazing, if you like a more plain look or something colourful you could pick one of the designs. Best part about this is no sewing skills required and you can make any basket shape depending on the medium you're using to shape.

What a sweet idea! I love the look of coiled rope baskets/bowls. There's something just so comforting about those concentric circles! I totally agree with LynM the more organizers the better! Doing it yourself lends this project to a very tailored fit and shape. You can bet I'm going to be keeping my eyes open here for containers that I already own that I can use to shape these sweet babies!

I have several baskets right now that are made out of wicker to keep my yarn and thread in for crocheting but need a bigger but shorter basket to fit underneath a table. I have stashes everywhere and would like to consolidate them. Yes, I know I could crochet one but then I have to buy more yarn and I promised not to until I have used up what I already have, lol!

I love this idea. I am going to make some of these to help with harvesting in my garden. This is great to have around the house for a number of reasons. I could use some for laundry, cleaning supplies, and holding all my craft supplies. This is such a great thing to do! I am ordering my rope tonight to make these! I'm so excited!

I really like this idea. You can never have too many storage options now, can you? I love how the Blogger then goes on to introduce the idea of using vintage sheets to cover the rope for a more colourful effect. Im wondering could you use one of those sturdy plastic pails instead of glass or metal - like the ones you can buy Feta Cheese in?
