While its true this no-sew faux Roman shade is stationary, with all its folds it still has the look of one. Sometimes the view from one or more windows may best be always covered and this is an attractive option for that scenario. Although the instructions do not mention it, I have made this kind of shade and hung it from a tension rod so as not to damage the window frame. Easy to launder that way too.

Can you really call this a Roman shade if you can't raise or lower it? I found this very misleading.

This is a beautiful privacy shade idea. The design is chic and easy to make. I like that you can be as creative as you would like because you can select your fabric. Thank you for the instructions for this project

I really like this no sew roman shade project. The directions are clear and really easy to follow. The only thing that I do not like about it, the shade is not able to be raised and lowered. I guess for a room like the bathroom, that may not be so important. In a bedroom I would like to be able to move up and down.

This is fantastic! Perfect for bathrooms since we do not really need curtains there.

This is a nice solution for a window where you don't need the shade to open. I could see how using a fabric that lets light in works well with gluing the fabric, but, if you do sew, you could certainly use the same instructions and sew down the areas that are glued. If you want an opaque non-see-thru look, you can used thicker and /or darker fabric, or line the fabric with either a plain fabric or interfacing. Great idea and super look!

No sew roman blinds? I was thinking how is that even possible but, now that our family bathroom has a great new window finish to rival the best looking, designer bathroom, I am definitely a convert. It took me about an hour to measure properly, cut and make and perhaps another fifteen or twenty minutes to fit it into place. It looks very good and has completely transformed the bathroom.

Yes! This is just the tutorial that I have been looking for! I love the look of roman shades, but simply cannot afford buying a custom one. I find sewing to be fiddly and time consuming. This tutorial is super easy though, using craft glue. I can't wait to make one in a fun colour fabric for my bathroom. It's going to look fabulous!

I hate sewing, so naturally I LOVE this project. I'm going to have to give this one a try

I have tried to sew these before and did not like the way they turned out because of stitching showing so this no sew Roman Shades are great. The only thing I am not crazy about is that you can see through them. This tutorial makes them simple and affordable that you can make some for all your windows for a new look. Anyone else like these?

These shades look great, I can't believe it's a no sew project. I can definitely do this!

Oh this is perfect! Now I can cover my bathroom window without big drapes of blinds getting in the way!
