Other Unique Drawer Pull Ideas

We love this drawer pull idea. Did you know that you can use a lot of other materials for this project as well? You can actually make your own drawer pull out of many different materials. Large buttons, napkin rings, polished rocks, sturdy sea shells, and even plastic toys can all be used to customize your furniture.

One variation that we particularly like involves spray painting a small plastic toy - like a rhinocerous or giraffe - and then attaching that to your plain drawer pull. It adds a whimsical touch to any space, whether you're a kid or an adult!

Of course, you can also paint your plain drawer pulls in a unique design. You can cover them with wallpaper or glitter and then cover with Mod Podge. The possibilities for making your own drawer pulls are really endless! If you have an idea that you love that we've missed, be sure to let us know in the comments below!

What a cool and unique way to give your furniture a little bit of a facelift! I can't wait to try this project.

I love it when people think outside the box. This is a great example of just that. I have used pieces of broken jewelry for other purposes, but this is a really fun idea for repurposing large, flat pieces of jewelry that you may have laying around. What a fabulous, easy idea!

I make and sell jewelry and sometimes after making an earring and necklace set, I have a stone left over. I never know what to do with them. Now I do. I have an old dresser in my craft room that could really use a face lift. I don't care if the drawer knobs don't match as long as they are pretty and make me happy. Thank you for the inspiration .

Wow do I love this idea! Great instructions too.... Crazy glue to the rescue. I wish I would have done this when I had custom drawers made years ago and bought pulls at $3 each. They were pretty, but this idea is way better! I was thinking of making a pin wreath, but this is better for broken pieces and you can enjoy them all the time! Thank you for a great idea! And since it is on furniture, it will stay with you if you want to keep it. I may swap out some cheap pulls on drawers I have had for years! Actually, I could glue the old jewelry right onto the old pulls for even cheaper and better bling!

I love adding unique elements to my home decor; it makes each so personal. Since I also love making jewelry and have tons of brooches and old earrings lying around, this is the perfect project for me to use to update my furniture pieces.
