My friend saves wine bottles to commemorate important and memorable ocassions, and this project would work so well to utilize some of those bottles in a meaningful and useful way. Wouldn't this be a great way to give the gift of a great memory of a special event and wine! Super great idea, practical and lovely too! Thanks for sharing!

This is such a great idea! Those citronella candles can be so expensive, and this would be a much prettier alternative! I am also wondering how you would replace it if it goes out...maybe if you just pull the wick out and replace the wick and the fluid? Has anyone tried that? If so, let me know if it worked.

If it goes out, how to replace it?

I love this idea, me and my partner recently bought our first home out in the country...we love it but the amount of flies is ridiculous so this could've perfect for us! In it marbles are used I was wondering if we could use small stones from a beach- we have a campervan and are away in it a lot so I thought this could add a personal touch to the candles?

These are amazing! I am totally going to have to make these. My parents love wine and I'm sure they have a couple empty wine bottles lying around that I could use for this craft. These fit my backyard ambiance TOO perfectly.

These are so cute! Finally, a use for all of those wine bottles that I have kicking around the cellar! I can't wait to whip up a few of these for the patio in the summer. I thought that it might also be fun to bring along a couple as hostess gifts to summer cookouts and bonfires. These are much more attractive than the traditional bug repellent candles. I can't wait for summer to get here so I can try them out!

How clever! I drink way more wine that any person should, and I've always got these leftover bottles that I hate to waste. This would be a really neat way to keep the bugs away for a summer party.

This looks like a great idea! I've been saving wine bottles, so I'm glad I know what to do with them now.

Love this project. It is a terrific centerpiece for a dinner party. Can't wait to try it.

These are so much classier than those ugly bucket citronella candles. There's still a little bit of summertime left, so I'm definitely making these!

'Tis the season...for bugs. I like when things are pretty and useful so this is an awesome project.

I'm definitely trying this for the summer!!

This is a great idea, and so useful even if you're just going camping for the night.

If only I had a deck or backyard... this is such a great way to recycle wine bottles!

What a useful way to upcycle wine bottles!

These homemade citronella candles are so stylish! What a great way to keep the bugs away and have cool outdoor decorations!
