"Celebrate fall and the changing leaves with this Tissue Paper Leaf Craft! This craft is wonderful for hand-eye coordination, and involves tracing and cutting leaves out of paper, and then tearing and crumpling small pieces of tissue paper to decorate the leaves with vibrant fall colors! My daughter and I love making these leaves, and then stringing them into a fall leaf garland for our mantle. To make this fall leaf craft you need: our free fall leaf printable, tissue paper in fall colors, white glue, and scissors."

Materials List

  • Our fall leaf printable (on our site)
  • Tissue paper in fall colors
  • White glue
  • Scissors

  1. Print out the leaves and cut out the ones that you want. Enlarge them by 200% on your printer. Cut or tear tissue paper into squares.

  2. Apply white glue to a small section of one of the leaves.

  3. Crumple squares into a ball. For older kids use smaller squares, while younger kids will do better with larger tissue paper pieces.

  4. Press the crumpled paper into the glue. Get creative and use multiple colors if you like.
