Materials List

  • Fabric
  • Ribbon
  • Hem Tape
  • Ruler
  • Scissors or Rotary Tool
  • White Rice
  • Epsom Salt
  • Essential Oil
  • Iron
  • Small bowl or measuring cup

  1. In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix the Epsom salt and rice until combined. Add 18-20 drops of the essential oil (or oils) and stir until combined. Set aside.

  2. Using a rotary tool or scissors, cut the fabric into a 5″ x 10″ rectangle.

  3. Next, iron the fabric to get all the wrinkles out so that it’s easier to work with.

  4. Fold the fabric in half longways with the right side in and iron the edge to make a crease.

  5. Now lay the hem tape along the edges of the fabric, but don’t go all the way to the end. Fold the top half over and iron. Follow the instructions on the hem tape for ironing. Let it cool for a few seconds.

  6. Turn the sachet right side out and add the essential oil mixture. Don’t fill it completely full or you will have a really hard time closing the sachet.
