For a bit larger items you might want to use paper towel rolls or even wrapping paper rolls as they often come in different sizes for a bit larger items.

I tripped across this tutorial when I was looking for fun projects to use at a kid's party. This is just perfect! I would love to get the kiddos involved in making and decorating these lovely boxes. Washi tape, stickers, stamps, glitter, the ideas are endless on how to jazz these up! I'd love to fill them with candy as take-home party gifts. This idea is a keeper for sure!

I have been making similar gift boxes from scrapbook paper and fabric...these are so much easier!! No need to mark or crease with a bone marker. I'm going to see if i can find larger paper towel or gift wrap rolls and see if I can make a larger diameter size...these are great!!

Did you ever have that little gift that you just can't seem to get just right? You keep wrapping and taking apart and rewrapping and it still looks awful. This is a great way to wrap by using toilet paper rolls. Never would have thought to do this but it is a great idea. I bet you can use paper towel rolls and cut down if you need them a little longer. I love anything you can recycle and you can use up pieces of leftover wrapping paper or tissue paper to decorate it. Now I do not have to dread wrapping those small gifts.
