From the blogger: "Lightweight or sheer fabrics are so beautiful to use in your sewing projects but can be a pain to hem. Here’s how to hem lightweight fabrics like a pro! Using sheer and lightweight fabrics in sewing projects is great, since they’re so pretty and add dimension and volume to any garment. They are usually a pain to handle when hemming; but, this very easy technique on how to hem lightweight fabrics makes it simple. The end result is such a pretty, narrow hem that looks nice and professional, a great and clean way to finish raw edges in sheers."

We all like to do things the quickest way possible. But sometimes the only way to get a really professional finish is to spend that extra time. This tutorial, for example, shows the best way to hem sheer fabrics and it isnt the quickest way, but it is certainly going to get the results. Remember, on sheer fabrics your hemlines will often show through on the right side, so they need to be as neat as can be. I wish I had seen this tutorial before I made my first ever Kaftan top.
