Easy Paper DIY Picture Frames
From the blogger: "We have recently inherited some of my husband's childhood "things", including a stash of his elementary school report cards. While some of these goodies have been easier to slip into the recycling bin, I just couldn't let go of these report cards. Using some simple picture frames, I cut and pasted these 30-some year old report cards onto the frames that I now plan to use for our kids school and class photos. Now that's upcycling!"

Measure the width and height of the sides of the frame. Cut school papers accordingly.
-
Apply Mod Podge to one side of the frame, apply the strip of paper and proceed to the next side. Layer the corners.

This is such a cool idea! I often upcycle old stuff or decorate old frames I already have to display funky, unique photos or artwork, but upcycling to create picture frames themselves? A very cool idea, indeed! I think one variation I will be trying out with this next project will be using calligraphy and fine-point paint pens all along the borders of the frames after they are done, to write inspirational messages along the frames themselves.

This is an interesting idea! I think it would work well with a wider frame so you could see more of what the document is, and you could also just frame one of the older ones for a bit of nostalgia for its own sake! Just select one perhaps, the oldest or best one. I have my old report cards and they are a mixed memory, but they are pretty old too, so a different perspective on how things were recorded. Clever and fun idea, thank you for shading!
