This is so cute! I love DIY ideas like this that use items most people can find around the house. My youngest son made something similar at cub scouts last week, with nuts. It will be interesting to see how it fares on our tree. I think both my boys would enjoy helping me make some of these.

Who would have ever thought to use washers like this? You could make all kinds of patterns and shapes to cover an entire tree. My sister likes the blue and silver combo. I can see making an entire set of ornaments out of washers now to decorate her tree with next year.

I really like this idea. I mean, this almost looks like something you'd buy in the store. The washers make great little loops which really bring some uniqueness to the snowflakes, and therefore the tree.
