What a really lovely idea! A nearby pottery studio sells beautiful blanks at very affordable prices so I popped in there this morning to get a few. We already have the rest of the materials needed so we will be getting started on the weekend. A good friend has an upcoming birthday so I will be doing a larger bowl for her and my 2 teenagers will be painting Valentine bowls for their current crushes so there will be lots of giggling and fun and paint everywhere . lol

What a pretty way to decorate simple bowls. I love the simple elegance of them, and could think of lots of ways to use them. I don't think my artwork would be as pretty, but I'll give it a try.

This is a great alternative to sending roses or get on his or hers good side and do both. This is such a romantic idea and it comes from the heart and is handmade which makes these bowls so special. What a cute idea if you have the paints on hand. Buy the bowls from the dollar store and grab some paints and get to painting. Even a beginner can paint something. Just think how she will feel when you bring that ice cream and pop out these bowls that you made just for her. Great tutorial.

These DIY bowls are just too cute! What a cute idea for Valentine's Day!
