What a fun and easy project! It is also so much cheaper than the pre-made stuff, too. It's a win-win for everyone!

Although I am not a kid anymore... This looks like a totally fun and entertaining craft! I babysit here and there and this would be such a fun way to spend an afternoon. You're never too young for playdough!

This is great stuff! As a former special Ed teacher, I used to make this stuff by the barrel for my students, but I left it white, the cream of tartar helped make it whiter. Then we sculpted it into various shapes, let it air dry and then painted the insisted project. We made ornaments and if you do that be sure to punch a hole in the top before it dries. So much fun!

My daughter loves playing with play dough. She always asks me to buy but I find it expensive to buy in a toy store. I'm glad I finally found a DIY play dough. It's very easy and the ingredients are easy to find in the kitchen, are non-toxic and safe for kids. I love this website! I always get to find what I need. Now, I can make her play dough of different colors!

I'm grateful for this website with these ideas on it because when my daughter was young I battled to find a play dough recipe. The first thing I also thought was that every kid eats it. I guess there is no getting around the fact that it contains flour other than a warning to others. I'm definitely going to make some of this.

Great idea for sure, does the food coloring come off? And just make sure that the little ones playing with it don't have any negative reactions with flour products, or I should say wheat allergies. Because you know somewhere along the line it will be ingested! My grand daughter was at a kids play date making dough ornaments and one of the kids became very ill, it was white flour. It's scary what they are allergic to now days.

How about using Tumeric for the yellow? It would be fun to make this in all colors. I have an 11 year old and 2-1/2 year old granddaughters that would have fun with this. Will it harden? The 11 year old likes to create and keep. It is nice to find something the two can do together with he age difference

Always great to find another recipe for this. My niece and nephew love playdough. Can't wait to make it for them.
