DIY Pokeball Rug
From the blogger: "My son is addicted to Pokemon, and has been wanting a Pokemon themed bedroom for quite a while. I created this pokeball area rug out of a red IKEA circular rug, with white and black fabric paint. The concentric circles of the rug made it easy to create the center pokeball button, and painters tape helped make straight lines through the center."

Would it be strange to say that I plan on making this for my adult son. As a child he was a great fan of Pokemon. He is still a bachelor and never thinks about things for the house so this along with some new bathroom accessories will make the bathroom all Pokemon out.

I had my fair share of Pokemon when my sons were younger. They would have liked this in their room for sure. I like the concept and appreciate the directions but the designer failed to express where she was able to locate a red circle rug.

I have heard of painted rugs from many years ago and never thought to do it now. This idea gives inspiration to creating designs and images behind this one. I would love to use floral stencils and recreate the roses and green tones for leaves and a trellis design for a larger area rug using this technique. The rugs using these designs are quite eoemsive, so his would be a cost effective way to get the same look at so much less, and in the exact color shades of your choice!

OH MAN, my boyfriend used to love Pokemon (probably still does, tbh). Maybe I'll surprise him with this rug :)
