My daughter and granddaughter uses so much chap sticks and I am always concerned about what is in them so I am going to make some homemade ones. They love the candy ane ones that come out at Christmas so I think I will make pepprmint ones but I like the idea you can make different flavors. These are so easy to make and you can make them in tins or lip balm containers. They will make great gift ideas too. i think I will use beeswax instead of the petroleum jellyas I am not to found of the ingredients in it. Thanks for thegreat idea.

This tutorial is so simple, I can't believe it takes 10 minutes. I love vanilla flavor in everything it smells and tastes so yummy. It's better eating this than some chapstick with ingredients you don't know. Plus if you don't like the double boiler then this tutorial is for you.

I had no idea you could make your own lip balm! This looks like such a cool DIY beauty idea, especially as those premade lip balms can get expensive.

When I think of peppermint, I think of York peppermint patties and how refreshing they are. I am wondering though, is there a substitute for the petroluem jelly? I would rather not use that in a homemade lip balm.

My significat other is an avid lip balm wearer. The problem is, he will forget and leave the lip balm stick in a pocket and either it mysteriously disappears in a pocket for ages or washed and dryed rendering it useless. When I make lip balm and use containers like these that problem vanished. Thanks for the free recipe.

Fantastic! Is that stored in an old altoid tin? What an exciting idea.

The winter season with its chilly winds is so hard on my skin and lips! This is such a quick, cost-effective solution. Peppermint and vanilla are two of my favorites it's like this homemade lip balm was meant for me!
